TROUBLE IN THE HEIGHTS
TROUBLE IN THE HEIGHTS tells the story of Diego, a young Dominican man in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City with a bright future, who's life is suddenly turned upside down as he chooses family above all else in order to protect his teenaged brother from a ruthless drug kingpin bent on exacting revenge for some stolen money.
The cast includes Raynal Rufino, Raul Esparza, Alexandra Metz, Olga Merediz, Luis Antonio Ramos, Antonio Ortiz, Dominic Colon, and Kareem Savinon.
The film made its festival premiere at HBO’s New York International Latino Film Festival and then went on to screen at the Radar International Film Festival, the Festival De Cine Global Dominicano, The Oaxaca FilmFest and The Seattle Latino Film Festival and was nominated for an Imagen Award, which recognizes the portrayal of the Latino community in a positive and accurate manner.
